Stockholm Fashion Week by Berns is kicking off on monday. There are going to be brands like Tiger of Sweden, Cheep Monday, Acne and Whyred on the runway. The salons of Berns will be packed with celebrities and royalties like the princess Madeleine of Sweden, and me! I am so stoked, because I will be working with the event, so I’m getting a pass and I will be able to see most of the shows! Yesterday I was working with Mercedes Benz, who are one of the head sponsors of the fashion week, not much happened but I got some really good sushi from the Berns restaurant and got to hear the presentation of the new gorgeous cars and unofficial welcoming to the fashion week. I’m going to stuff my cameras with pictures of the shows so – pictures are to come.
I just came home from vacation in Bad Gastein, Austria. Let’s just say I’m not happy to be home… Stockholm is gray and windy and boring while Bad Gastein is sunny, snowy, fun, skiii… At the hotel me and my besto friendo Vera met about 15 norwegians so it was never boring after the afterski! About the afterski, a band called Explosion Family played covers every day at the Silver Bullet, a swedish bar in Bad Gastein. The band was great so if you ever go to Bad Gastein, go to the Silver Bullet around 5 pm.
The weather was awsöm, sunny, i think i got a tan even. The park though… Big flop, big flop. Two jumps that take like 7 sec and then a 3 min lift ride up. Pretty useless, but we found a nice off piste and jumped a little bit there.
I miss BG so much it’s undescribable. Unfortunately i wont be going there next year. We are planning on Mayrhofen or Chamonix, hope it’s just as perfect…
Miami Beach… A half crazy place and half very sofisticated. Abandoned buildings wasn’t a nice touch though, they were kind of spooky. But back to the not abandoned part. By day everyone is at the Art Basel, looking for new art to hang on the livingroom wall. Some say the Art Basel was a joke, i wouldn’t say so being an Art & Design student and photographer. Some people just have a hard time adjusting to modern art. But i have to agree that the best art was outside of the basel, in hotels and tents. The fact that you could actually talk to the artists was a big plus too. To people who plan on going there next year, dont spend too much time at the Basel because you might not have enough time to see the rest.
About Miami and Miami Beach in general, I’ts an amusing place to be at. The people are nice, their pick up lines are hilarious, their cars are interesting, their sence of style is often odd, their dieting gone over the line and their plastic surgery is very obvious. Every night is party night, all clubs are full, champagne and drinks are being spilled until morning, then everyone goes out jogging on the beach, take a shower and go to the Basel again, a city of routine. But i love it, Miami Beach is definitely a Filippov favorite.
New year coming up, new New Years resolutions. The thing about the resolutions is pretty funny… We never keep them but we keep on making new once. Like I´m going to get a grip of myself and actually do everything I’ve got planned. Like going to London in april, Barcelona in february, Åre during Jon Olsson Super Sessioin, working out 3 times a week, getting my company together and so on. I’m hoping that all of these plans will work out but i know myself. Anyway, tips for n.y outfit, sky high nuclear heals, short but classy dress, hair up and champagne colours. Or just wear some Alfred Rothschild champagne, let the gold flow all over…
Oooooooooh! Im going to Miami om monday too go to the design basel. I’ve never been in Miami so this is going to be wohoo. I am so gonna swing by Miami Inc and terrorize them with photography!! They are going to wish they never had a face to photograph 8D
I am so exited, finally som sun! Allthough the almost first snow just came so it’s gonna suck to leave skiing behind… But aaaaaaah MIAMI!! WeeYheeeY
I really like Amy Winehouse she is the female version of Pete Doherty and I am a huge Babyshambles fan so you do the math…but, this picture is too horrible for me not to put up. Im a baaaad person
There are so many people in the world suffering from sugar/fat addiction. Not only is it bad for us but it also makes it tougher squeeeezing in to those newly washed jeans.
We often go to the kitchen thinking i have to have some chocolate, or a piece of pie, or chocolate cake! And then the angel on the left shoulder says “Dont do it! You are going to regret it later! Have a cup of sweet tea, Latte, or maybe an apple or a tomato.” and we think, naah it’s not worth it… But then the little devil pops up on the right shoulder saying “Come on! It’s so good… Mmmm, a little bit of sugar cant hurt. Take it fast so you dont change your mind!”. And we grab the worst thing possible.
But i have found a method to figt that little son of a bitch devil, right before we grab whatever we are reaching out for. I wrote a big “NO!” on my hands like this
(NEJ! is NO! in swedish for those who didn’t figure that out)
And believe me, it works. It’s haunting you! My friends took my advice and wrote NO! on their hands too and they said it worked!
So try it if you are having trouble staying healthy!
THANK YOU FOR VOTING OBAMA!!!! I LOVE YOU!!! I was so nervous yesterday sitting in front of the TV waiting for more results to come in. When Ohio had voted Obama, the hope rised, and rised!! And I could sleep in peace.
Practically the entire swedish population supports Obama, and i want to thank Filip and Fredrik, of “Valvaka med Filip och Fredrik”, for making the election and wating so much easier, and really giving us hope that Obama would win. HALLELUJAAAH…..
Finally, after 8 years, the world has a good president, because the president of america is the president of the world (at least for now) so all americans should have that in mind when they vote, dont vote for your benefit, vote for the worlds benefit… And dont let Palin kill baby seals for fun!!
P.S, today I was dressed in all american colours =) Red skirt, white shirt, blue leggings and a blue sweater!
I have new crush! Make me a supermodel is my new favorite show! US that is. I haven’t seen Australias yet but im gonna and i hope that it’s as good as the american version. They are all top models oh dear…it sucks that in these kinds of competitions only one wins, kind of a stupid rule, but whatcha gonna do? Anyway, I Love It!! To people who havent seen this yet, you have too!!! Or i’ll hit you!! Hard!! Really hard!! Right across the face!! Break your nose!! Okay this is getting out of hand..
